Do you have a child or children who are 22 years or younger? Is your child(ren) diagnosed with a mental illness? Are you confused about your child’s behaviors? Do you wish you could do something to help? There is a group for you! Please join Restored BHS to learn more about the common childhood mental health diagnoses, get some of your questions answered, learn how to support your child(ren), and network with other parents and caregivers.
Purpose:
This group is for informational purposes only. We will not diagnose or provide treatment for you or your child. Your child must already have a mental health diagnosis from a licensed mental health professional. Thus, the purpose of this group is to provide parents and caregivers with information about common childhood mental health diagnoses to help parents understand their child(ren)’s behavior better, get common mental health questions answered, learn helpful ways to support their children to better health, and also to network with and learn from other parents/caregivers who are facing similar challenges.
Outcomes Expected:
- Parents and caregivers will walk away with a better understanding of their child’s mental health diagnosis.
- Parents and caregivers will walk away with techniques to support their loved ones who are struggling with a mental illness.
- Parents and caregivers will be able to network with other parents/caregivers facing similar challenges.
